This house is full of stories of what life could have been and of hopes and dreams cut short. However, the members of this home have not given up. The family is gradually bouncing back though they continue to regret losing the ability to do things that used to bring them joy. The elderly parents fear that the dreams and aspirations they once had, cannot be fulfilled now, as the youngest member of the family now carries the heavy responsibility of providing for the family.
සමහර විට මෙහෙම වුණා නම්, මෙහෙම වෙන්න තිබුණා, මෙසේ විය හැකිව තිබුණා ආදී කතාන්දරවලින් මෙම නිවස පිරී ඇත- නිවැසියන් තවමත් අතීතය තුළ ජීවත් වන බව පෙනී යයි- තමන්ට සතුට ගෙන දෙන දේවල් කිරීමට ඔවුන්ට තිබූ හැකියාව නැති වී යෑම ගැන විශාල කණගාටුවකින් පසු වේ- එසේම, ලාබාලම සාමාජිකයා මත පවුලේ ආර්ථික බර රැඳී ඇති හෙයින් උවමනා ඉලක්ක ළඟා කරගැනීමට නොහැකි වී ඇත.
தங்கள் வாழ்க்கை எப்படி இருந்திருக்கக்கூடும் என்ற பல யூகங்களைக் கொண்ட கதைகளை இவ் இல்லம் கொண்டுள்ளது. நடந்திருக்கக்கூடியவை, நடந்திருக்க வேண்டியவை ஆகியவற்றை மையப்படுத்தியே இவர்களது சிந்தனைகளும் பேச்சுக்களும் இருக்கின்றன. ஆனால் இவ்வில்லத்தில் குடியிருப்போர் தம் நம்பிக்கையை இன்னும் இழக்கவில்லை. இவர்கள் முகம்கொடுத்த துயர சம்பவத்திலிருந்து மீண்டெழுந்திருந்தாலும் , முன்னர் போன்று மகிழ்ச்சியான செயல்பாடுகளில் ஈடுபட முடியாத நிலையைக் குறித்து கவலை கொள்கின்றனர். வயது முதிர்ந்த பெற்றோரை கொண்ட இவ் இல்லத்தின் பொருளாதார சுமைகளை குடும்பத்தின் இளைய உறுப்பினரே சுமக்கிறார். இந்த பொருளாதார சுமைகள் மிக அதிகமாக காணப்படுவதனால், இக்குடும்பம்பமானது தமது கனவுகள் மற்றும் அபிலாஷைகளை அடைய முடியாத நிலைக்கு தள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளார்கள் .
