OIC demands an end to Christian religious worship activities

September 14, 2019

At approximately 09 a.m., around 15 police officers of the Katana Police Station, including the Officer-in-Charge (OIC), 06 Buddhist monks, and around 100 villagers arrived at the place of worship and demanded that the Christians stop conducting their worship activities at the premises. When the pastor arrived at around 10 a.m., the OIC spoke to him harshly and demanded the pastor stop conducting his religious worship activities in the village and threatened to place him under arrest if he continued. The OIC also instructed the pastor to never enter the village again. He was then asked to go to the Katana Police Station for further questioning.
