The pastor, along with his wife and 02 other pastors, arrived at the Morawaka Police Station at approximately 09 a.m. for the inquiry. 05 Buddhist monks and the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) were also present. The monks claimed that the Christian place of worship was illegal and called for it to be registered. They warned the OIC that the people of the village had been planning an attack on the place of worship and said they could not be held responsible if this transpired. They further stated that the pastor should engage in worship activities in private. The OIC stated that the pastor was well within his rights to continue his worship services and he had no authority to disrupt them. He further added that he would take the necessary action if anyone tried to take the law into their own hands.
